From resurgence to an era of rapid growth - Rebirth

1961 - Fukuya Airport Shop

After the Hiroshima Airport opened in Kanon, Hiroshima City on September 15, 1961, the Fukuya Airport Shop opened on December 15 of the same year in the airport building.

1961 - Nagarekawa Annex (Noborimachi Annex)

Fukuya acquired the location where the NHK Hiroshima Central Broadcasting Station (Kaminagarekawacho) was and established the Merchandise Monitoring Department here as the "Nagarekawa Annex", performing work such as delivery reception and regional shipping here. Later, the name was changed to the "Noborimachi Annex" following the town name change.

35th anniversary of its founding - Driving forward prosperity in Hatchobori

1964 - Completed second expansion work for L-shaped exterior

The second expansion work began on January 13, 1963, and was completed on September 30, 1964. Fukuya celebrated the 35th anniversary of its founding on October 1. Because of this, the area of the sales floor expanded to be one of the top five regional department stores.

1967 - Visit of Imperial Highnesses Prince and Princess Hitachi

On October 7, 1967, Imperial Highnesses Prince and Princess Hitachi visited the store, viewing the "Sweden Exhibit", "Korea Exhibit", and "Hokkaido Exhibit" being held at that time.
